Kudrin: Wealth fund money enough to survive only one more crisis

MOSCOW, Aug 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s National Wealth Fund’s money will suffice to survive only one more crisis similar to the crisis of 2008–2009, the Audit Chamber’s head Alexei Kudrin said on Tuesday.

“I will remind you that in 2008–2009 half of the entire reserve fund was spent on saving, supporting the budget system, including the Pension Fund,” Kudrin said.

“At present, we do not have a reserve fund, we have only the National Wealth Fund left. Its funds will be enough only for one more similar crisis, we have no more money so far… We cannot tie payments of the pension system to it.”
